The Hartwist Tweed Range is a C Category and has a surcharge as shown on the Tailoring Price List. Choose your garment from the list below and your choice and any surcharge will be added to the basket. Then simply go to your chosen Custom Tailoring Order Form to add your choices to basket. Alternatively you can order a cloth sample for £2.
Porter and Harding's Hartwist Tweed cloths are highly twisted and durable but still at a medium weight suitable for Autumn to Spring. The quality give a sharp luxurious look to the finished garment, a quality difficult to find in today's offerings.
Porter & Harding is one of an excellent portfolio of brands managed by Harrisons of Edinburgh; founded in 1863 by Sir George Harrison who began his career as an apprentice with an Edinburgh tailor. His first business venture was with a partner, establishing a business of wool drapers, hatters and hosiers in 1838. Twenty five years later he bought out an existing firm of woollen merchants, J & A Ogilvy, changing the name to what is known today as "Harrisons of Edinburgh". Today they have become one of Bookster Tailoring's favourite cloth merchants.
